By establishing an empathetic, safe and supportive therapeutic environment I will guide you towards clarifying what your aims and objectives are and help you achieve them.

Using my extensive and varied professional background, my aim is to respond to each individual client’s needs and requirements. In other words it is the method adapting to the client and not the other way round. Research does indeed indicate that the most significant factor relating to successful outcome is not so much the therapist’s preferred school of thought, but the relationship between therapist and clients.

MY APPROACH

Therapy for me is a collaborative and creative process leading to a dismantling of obstacles and an opening up of possibilities. It will involve us working together to explore your current experience in detail in order to identify how your problems may have originated, how they are maintained, the function they may serve and the best way for you to challenge and overcome them.

I will help you develop awareness of your emotional, cognitive and physical experience and to relate to this experience with curiosity and an open heart. This is conducive to growth and is likely to significantly reduce the obstacles in the way of a fulfilling life.

Whether your concern is a general dissatisfaction with life, issues with relationships, anxiety, depression or a deeper disturbance, do not hesitate to contact me. Even if for any reason I cannot work with you, because for example I may have a full schedule, or I may feel more specialist help may be required, I will endeavour to point you in the right direction.
